Purch. Inv. Header Already Exist Error on Prepayment Invoice

Hi All,

I get the well know error as below when creating a purchase prepayment invoice.

The record in table Purch. Inv. Header already exists. Identification fields and values: No.='100003'

There are few threads on this and the conclusion is somehow delete this record from table. My question is how do we do this in SaaS environment?

Already checked number series and there isn't anything unusual and try to set the next number and redo but no luck

thanks

Can you not use an OnBeforeInsert event subscriber to check? This is assuming the number has been allocated from the number series before that point.

    Hello,
I would suggest to create a service request with Microsoft to get this investigated and resolved.
    Thanks

    Anita,

This might be the reason but please check...

On the Purchase & Payable setup the Posted Prepmt. Inv. Nos. field, drill in and see if the Last No. Used is correct (pic below). It might show a value that is incorrect or out-of-sync and you need to resolve. In your case, 100003, per the message, has been used but the No. Series thinks the Last No. Used = 100002.

Again, just a theory to check. And you can also go to Posted Purchase Invoice and see if you find Document 100003.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and number series overlapping looks like the cause but I'm not sure if this by design or a bug ..so I looked at Cronus as above

In Cronus prepay and Inv+ numbers are different series (at least to start with as theoretically they can catch up), Since they both use the same table maybe you cannot start both say from 100001,  BUT I'm not sure if this the intended design
