Digital Sign App

Hi Communnity
 
I am trying to digitally sign an app and I am getting and error using the signtool that says the app is an unrecongnised file type. From further research it says i have to have Business Central installed on the machine i am trying to digitally sign the app on.
 
I tried the desktop app and that doesn't work.
Does this mean i have to install the full business central server app?
Surely there is an easier way to digitally sign my app?
 
Any help appreciated.

    I also got similar error when using signtool, Please try with installing BC 14 version with Developer environment and RTC enabled, it worked for me.
