NAV OData metadata missing MaxLength for string properties?

It looks like the entity definitions being returned from NAV 2016 are missing their MaxLength properties:

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh167230(v=nav.90).aspx

Providing that information makes consuming the service much easier and less error prone.

Is there any way to get NAV to return this data or are their any plans to add support for it in the future?

Thanks,

Eddie

the odata metadata in nav 2016 is a simple xml. it's not dynamic, no additional parameters/filters can be set, are not processed. when i think about the last 4 nav versions, then it seems, microsoft wants to add more and more ms standard tech into nav. so it is quite sure, that in future versions metadata will follow more and more the standards. e.g.: odata started in nav as readonly service, now it's read/write.
