Inventory Allocation for a Lot/Serial Item

Hi

I encountered a scenario where on looking at the inventory status inquiry screen for a lot/serial item, I am seeing a value in the "Inventory Allocation column" but I cannot decipher why the value exists.

Now I know from experience that any values for an item that are allocated, it could mean that the item is in an inventory batch that has not been released.  However, in this case all inventory batches have been released in the system, so this is what is puzzling to me.

On executing some scripts, I noticed that in the LotSerT table, the specific line record for the value allocated is showing without a batch number and the transaction  has 0 in the Rlsed column. I assume that this is where the problem lies but I am not sure.  However, I went ahead and updated the table with the batch number and changed the value to 1 for release, but that did not help.

Has anyone experience this issue before or have any suggestions on what could be the problem and how to fix this issue?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Lisa, This is what I know. status is MST meaning active or inactive. The IN batch should release and update MST status and Sert will be linked to intran and loctable transaction. If is not update you are correct should be a transaction order management or inventory that is suspended keeping the allocation shipping not invoice.

If the transaction is completed then we need to update or those table fields once is completed ran integrity check. Thanks

Yes, actually that was the first table I checked and I saw where the inventory allocation column has a value.  I am not sure of what process that updates the LotSerT table.  The particular record in question is showing as not released.

    Thanks for your response.

    Hi Nam

Yes I did, but that did not help....   Not sure what has occurred or is occurring to cause this issue.

    Any further suggestions?
