last time a user loggon on to GP

Is there a way to see the last date that a user has logged on to GP. What table if any holds this data.

What I am trying to do is identify users that don't need to be notified of logging off they system everytime we do maintenance. ie if the employee hasn't logged on in the last two years, I probably don't need to send them an e-mail.

You'd have to enable Activity Tracking to capture that data. It's not captured anywhere other than the Activity Tracking tables. You should look at the Rockton Toolbox - http://www.rocktonsoftware.com/products/product.aspx?p=C5B12B08-B757-DF11-B9CC-00505685016F. Some pretty handy Admin tools in there.

We use Rockton's GP toolbox and its great at a cheap price too!

But, if you don't need those tools, you can simply have a trigger on insert in table DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY and store this info in a custom table. This should do the trick (of course you need SQL skills for this).
