Can you check if there are any batch jobs which are in executing state ?

What do you mean by slow ? is it VS or UI ?

Hi Menna, Generally closing SQL server and other applications in Devbox and restarting browser helps. Please ensure that you don't have lot of tabs opened in browser. Stop unwanted batch jobs.

    Also, check this article

If the development environment d365fo hosted on Azure?

If yes please check the Hosting region and from where you are logged in?

Being in the same region would be giving less latency.

Also, check which VM size they have used. if   Dxv3 ask for B8ms  or so (azure VM size: learn.microsoft.com/.../sizes)

or for resize for the VM please check this post: www.linkedin.com/.../

    Hi Menna,

Can you update us if you are using a cloud hosted development environment or a local hosted OneBox? Please also provide the current VM size or the configuration for a local hosted VM.

It's a cloud hosted development environment with 32GB RAM

    Hi Menna,

Thanks for the clarification. Do you know the exact VM size? (e.g. D12v2, B8ms) Using a VM with faster disks will perform better. Next to that, you can disable particular services to free up some resources. E.g. you can disable the batch service and management reporter sync service.

    size : Standard B8ms (8 vcpus, 32 GiB memory) .

can you explain how can I disable services and which services should I disable  ?

Andre is referring to below highlighted services. Please try stopping it.
