I know there is lot of helping documents & stuff for upgradation but what I was trying to figure out, if I have GP2010 with SQL 2008 R2 and I also want to upgrade SQL 2008 R 2 to SQL 2012

I would agree with Jonathan. I would like to add that once you are on SQL 2012 to go into SSMS and change the compatilibility level of the databases to SQL Server 2012.
Hi Syed,
This really depends on what builds of GP 2010 you are on. In order to use SQL 2012 on GP 2010 you need to be on at least 11.00.1914. If you have your databases in SQL 2012 and are running Utilities on a build prior to 1914 you are going to receive a SQL version error. So I would recommend upgrading to GP 2013 first and then do the server move to SQL 2012.
