How can I set my Conditional Formatting to be PERMANENTLY saved in view??

I have created a couple conditional formatting conditions in Outlook CRM, great feature - however it is not saving the formatting to the view. Once any other entity/view is clicked when you return to the original view with the conditional formatting..... it is all gone and I have to set up the condition again.

As system customizer/admin I need to be able to set up these formatting conditions for all users - conditional formatting must be saved permanently!

Can someone please help with this.

Thanks,

Adel

    Adel,

Conditional Formatting in Outlook only stays saved on Personal Views.

Save the system view as a personal view and apply conditional formatting to that.

    Good Luck!

Hi Gus, thanks for your help... however I am still having some issues. I tried your solution, but it did not work. I created a personal view from scratch, as well as saved an existing system view as my personal view - after applying conditional formatting to each one....everything looked great! until...

    1. i closed CRM opened again, conditional formatting was not saved for personal views

    2. i closed the personal view, switched entities, went back into the original entity, opened the personal view - conditional formatting was not saved

i would like to set up this formatting for all my users in a one time process, please let me know if you have any suggestions or can understand where i went wrong.

    Thanks!

I suggest you go look at Tripp Parkers blog blogs.msdn.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011-let-s-get-conditional.aspx

It is possible to put conditional format on system views... but it will ONLY work using Outlook.
