Hi

I am trying to create reports from Microsoft Dynamics Online CRM  with Visual Studio 2008.

I have apply the update where i can select Microsoft Dynamics CRM Fetch as data source type.  For the Credentials we used Office 365.

My connection string is https://xxx.crm.dynamics.com;xxx

However every time i tried to connect i receive this error

An authentication error occured while connecting to the server "https://xxx.crm.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc" .  Make sure that the connection string and credentials are correct, and try again

LogonIdentityExWithUI()

I have tried login with my credentials using internet explorer and it is fine.

    Alan,

    Check this article and see if you can spot where the issue is:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg695810.aspx

    Good Luck!

    i tired

    Url=crm.contoso.com/xrmContoso;

    or

    Url=crm.contoso.com/xrmContoso; Domain=CONTOSO; Username=jsmith; Password=passcode

    both still give me error

    I think the problem is my company used a proxy and the crm is not picking up the proxy information

    i used to have the same problem when i tried to create a simple win form app connecting to CRM online

    I fixed the issue by adding

    <system.net>

    <defaultProxy useDefaultCredentials="true">

    <proxy usesystemdefault="True" />

    </defaultProxy>

    </system.net>

    to the app.config

    Where can do this to the reports?

    Thanks for all the help

    Is there any config file on the SSRS Server side that you can edit?

    Oh, right, you are using CRM 2011 Online...is there any way you can develop the report from another site (without going through the Proxy)?
