We have 6 stores running and for about the past 2 weeks we have begun having a problem with HQ Manager not responding. It seems to occur when accessing the item list after starting the program. It is intermittent, but after clicking items in the Database tab, sometimes the program goes into an hourglass (or spinning circle) for up to a minute and never responds. It is not possible to click anything to stop it except for the close program in the top right corner which then causes a not responding error and asks if you want to close the program. We are running SQL Server 2014 Standard on a Dell T620 with 32 GB of RAM. The problem does occur if you run HQ Manager on the server itself, so it doesn't really appear to be a network problem. We have about 111,000 items in the item list.
Again, the problem is intermittent although we have one machine (pretty old) that does it every time. The newer machines seem to only have it happen occasionally.
Any ideas?? I have reindexed.
