Schedulers and/or triggers may not release contacts after the duration of the recurrence interval.

Hi y'all,

Having some trouble with a Customer Journey and recurrence interval. I have made the following CJ (see image 1).

/image

I'm getting the following error message:

/This recurring journey includes a combination of schedulers and/or triggers that may not release contacts after the duration of the recurrence interval. Consider shortening the durations of your schedulers and/or triggers, or lengthening your recurrence interval./

I am aware of the rule:

Interval * count ≤ end date - start date.

Therefore, I have the settings as follow:

Is recurring: Yes
Recurrence count: 3.650
Recurrence interval 1
Start date and time: 24-10-2023 at 00:00
End date and time: 24-10-2033 at 00:00
Emails schedule: 7 days, from 00:00 to 23:59
Delay schedule: 7 days, from 00:00 to 23:59

However, I still get the error.

Can somebody help me out?

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

    This is because 3650*8 >10 years->Approximately 3650days (end date - start date)
Change the Recurrence count to ensure that Interval * count ≤ end date - start date.

    Hi Dengliang Li,

Thanks for your reply! It did work, so I will mark this as the answer later on.

However, after changing the interval to 8, I'm getting a new error message:

"The journey timespan is not long enough to complete all the iterations you have requested. Please adjust the iteration settings or journey start and end dates to allow all iterations to fit in the journey timespan."

I've kept the dates the same, except the interval:

    Is recurring: Yes
    Recurrence count: 3.650
    Recurrence interval 8
Start date and time: 24-10-2023 at 00:00
End date and time: 24-10-2033 at 00:00
Emails schedule: 7 days, from 00:00 to 23:59
Delay schedule: 7 days, from 00:00 to 23:59

So what do you think the problem is now?

Looking forward to your reply, and thanks in advance!

    Hi,

In my testing, I found that only when Recurrence interval >Wait for duration, it passes the error check.

This may be because the recurrence can only take place after the journey has been completed.
Therefore, the interval of recurrence needs to be greater than the time taken by the journey.
