Primary Contacts

Hi!

I have recently converted some hundred leads to accounts and contacts, and everything lokks just fine. Exept that when I open an Account I can see the Primary Contact in the Information screen. When I click Contacts in the menu on the left side however the Primary Contact is not listed under Contacts on that Account.

If I choose to open the Primary Contact by clicking on it in the Information screen and then chose the Account as parent then the Primary Contact appears in the Contacts screnn on the Account as well.

Is there a fast way to make all Primary Contacts on all Accounts visible also in the Contacts screen on the Account?

    Hi,

    Here are the steps for a solution that may help you if you are using Dynamics CRM 4.0:

    1. Create an on-demand workflow rule that will work on Account entity. The rule will have only one step that will update the related primary contact's parent Account to be the current Account.
    2. Publish the workflow rule.
    3. Select one Account record with primary contact and test the solution on it. Notice, it takes a few seconds till the rule kicks in, as it works asynchronously.
    4. If successful, activate advanced find to find all Accounts with primary contact and activate this workflow rule on all matching records.
    5. If you want this rule to keep working for future records, unpublish it and add the create event as a trigger. Publish the rule again.
