Cannot edit a record in Customers. The values are not current.

Hi everyone.

I get this error message every time I edit customer who has Name more than 60 character length using CustTable form:

"Cannot edit a record in Customers (CustTable).
The values displayed in the form are not current, so an update or deletion cannot be made. To view the current values, on the Command menu, click Restore or press CTRL+F5."

I tried to synchronize the database, restart AOS, reread and refresh all data source at CustTable form, but they don't help at all. I have no idea why, because this error doesn't happen only when I edit customer who has Name less than 60 character length.

Please help, I'm stuck!

Thank you,

Fauzan Azhiman

    Hi everyone,

    I solved the issue by changing the Name length to be equal to DirPartyName length, and then I restart the AOS. Thank you,

    The standard length of the DirPartyName is 100 characters. So you have a custom length.

    I can recall an issue at another customer where they increased one of the two mentioned EDT's above. Then we made them equal. Also we had to do proper synchronization of the database, restart AOS services and cleared caches until we got rid of some quirks.

    would you please give a try to change length of Name(EDT) to 150 as well, and then synch database.

    retry to modify a customer, after that, that is having length more than 60

    Hi, Sohaib.

    Thank you for your response. These are my system configuration:

    1. Name => 60 characters

    2. DirPartyName => 150 characters.

    Is there any effect from these configuration?

    Thank you,
