Hello,
I received this error message while i was installinf FRX 6.0 ''Error(-5006:- 0x80070017)''
Please what can i do to resolve it so i can install FRX

FRx 6.0 is not supported on any current operating systems. It will only work on Windows 95, NT and ME. What OS are you trying to get it working with? Why are you installing a version of FRx that is so old? What GL are you using?
The newest version of FRx is 6.7 SP12 which was released by Microsoft a few months ago. There will be future service packs to version 6.7, but your version (6.0) has been dropped from support for a while now.

What actually happen is that i got the error message while intalling FRX 6.7 not 6.0 and the operating system i installed it on is Window server 2003. please what can i do to resolve the error. I need to install the FRX 6.7
AAhhh...
It sounds like you have an anti-virus program running while trying to install FRx (most likely McAfee). Turn that off, then try installing FRx.

But i have an issue disabling the anti-virus. Could it be the same issue that is making Microsoft Dynamics Gp 10. not to run. If i want to Run GP on that same system it will give me this error ''The application failed ti initialize properly (0x00000 7 b) click ok to terminate d application''.

HHmmm. Do you have a network anti-virus program running? If there is a scanner on the server, that may be interrupting the installations. It still sounds like there is something preventing the installers to write to the system HDD and registery.
Is your windows server 2003 is 64-bit edition ? Can you indicate at which stage of the FRx Installation and it show error message ? By the way, your Dynamics GP execution error is not related to FRx.
Please try to do Windows Update for your server. Also, remember to restart the server. I believe that the error is have something to do with the InstallShield last pending post installation of other software, so restart server will help enable all pending jobs to run completely, so that you then can proceed to run the FRx Installation.
Another possible for Error Code 0x80070017, is the source CD or DVD media is not accessible or damaged. Please try to copy all the FRx installation files & folders into local harddisk (to ensure the media is OK) and start the FRx installation from the harddisk.
And then try to install other prerequisites under folder \Bin\FRxReporter\MS\
Please try to install the FRx Reporter (\Bin\FRxReporter\setup.exe) before any other FRx software.
Apply/install FRx Service Pack 9 and then follow by Service Pack 11, BEFORE you can run FRx.
