Hi everyone,

I created an advanced find to include the Description field for Emails. When i export to excel, I get this message

2017_2D00_12_2D00_13-12_5F00_11_5F00_18_2D00_Inbox-_2D00_-katiel_4000_digiterre.com-_2D00_-Outlook.png

Then in Excel, the description field is unreadable.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks

Katie

    Hi,

As in CRM the EMail desacription field is saved in HTML Format and you don't have the WYSIWYG tool of CRM in your excel.

Excel will just show the html text.

If you want to read what is contained in this fields, you should copy paste in an html editore like notepad++ and format it to HTML.

    Hi katiel,

if you want to see clear text in excel you could try as follows:

    1) Create a plugin/workflow which will use this code:

    https://www.codeproject.com/Articles/11902/Convert-HTML-to-Plain-Text

    2) Run this plugin on demand, to populate a "plain text" new attribute

    3) Retrieve this attribute on your excel

    Hope it helps!
