Demo Data Link for AX 2012 R3 cu 12 is available????

Hi Friends ,

I installed Windows server 2012 R3,SQL Server 2012 standard edition sp3,and Microsoft dynamics ax 2012 R3 CU 12.

Now I want to import Demo Data from Microsoft.Is there a link for Demo data for Microsoft Dynamics ax 2012 R3 cu12.

I am able to find for CU9 DEMO data for ax ,but that is for VM machines.I have normal installataion.

should I import below link demo data

You need to install a version first that matches the demo data package.

After that you could put the CU of your choice on top of it, and go through the Software Upgrade checklist (code upgrade not required since it is Standard AX code, but you do need data upgrade/license codes, etc).

Demo data can be imported with the Test Data Transfer Tool, it does not matter if you use physical boxes or virtual machines.

Hi Sanjay,

On the next page, you can find links for the demo data. But it is not clear for what exact CU.

If it is not the correct version, you could try to use the approach from Ludwig by running the data upgrade scripts once installed an older version.

I you have the option to deploy AX2012 on Azure using LCS, you could also deploy a machine and get a backup of the database or use TDTT to extract the data.

1.As Andre link says,Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU9 Solution Demo Package V2.0 which is a VM Demo Data(latest one),can i use it for Physical boxes as well? I have already installed ax 2012 R3 cu12 with slip stream(new installation).Now can I import the demo data file..after importing what else i have to do??

After import, you can start the AX client and start the update checklist for data upgrade.
