Master planning - Problem with Order Date in planned transfer order

Hello,

My customer who is into retail has stores that are refilled by the DC. Some of the stores will receive goods from DC only on Mondays, though they work on all days. I don't want to setup store calendars with only Mondays in 'Open' status because these stores might receive goods from certain suppliers on other days (Direct to store). So, the store calendar will have all days 'Open' and I will use a 'Monday only' calendar attached to a coverage group and link to the store using item coverage set up. With this configuration I am facing an issue - The planned transfer orders that are generated by master plan has 'Delivery date' on a Monday (let's say 23 Dec 2019) which is as expected. Since there is a 1 day transportation time between DC to the store, I expect the 'Order date' to be on 22 Dec, but system is assigning the previous Monday (i.e. 16 Dec) as per the calendar on the coverage group. Is there a way to tell the system to ignore the coverage group calendar for assigning 'Order date' and only look at 'DC calendar' for this purpose?

How can we achieve separate controls for goods receipt date, goods shipment date and order date? At the moment, it looks like only the shipment date could be separately controlled ('Closed for pick up').

Appreciate your advice.

Regards,

Sree.

when defining coverage group you could skip the calendar and then try to run and see the result

    Hi Rahul,

I don't want to remove calendar from coverage group as I want the delivery date to be suggested based on the calendar attached to the coverage group.

My requirement is - Delivery date be suggested based on the coverage group calendar and order date be suggested based on DC calendar or any other calendar other than coverage group calendar.

    Regards,

    Sree.

    Hi Sreehari,

Do you try to set the calendar for warehouse? You can combine multiple calendars to use.

    Thanks QianQW.

Yes, I did refer this link before and setup Store/DC/Vendor/Coverage group calendars.

If I attach a calendar to the coverage group, then system refers to it for both Delivery date and Order date which is not giving the required result.

I am still exploring the MS doc and trying out a few options.

    Regards,

    Sreehari.
