End production order

Posted on by 231
Hi all.
Should it be possible to end a production order without have any finished goods produced?

Thank you for your response. There are no consumption of items or resources on these production orders.

    Hi Erik,

What is the use case in your scenario? I don't think this is possible as the calculation job will try to allocate all production costs to the quantity reported as finished.

There is one use case I can relate to it.
A client is doing a lab test and they are not producing FG but they are following the experiment and ultimately the end result will be to produce a item for their product research. I can only think of using bom with all the items as zero cost and production order will produce ITEM which is at zero cost.
