Please let me know when validate write is called then what it will validate actually?
Please give me more shed on this
Thanks!
Hi @rp@n,
It validates that all mandatory fields are populated. Take a look at link below for details.
daxingwitheshant.blogspot.com/.../difference-between-validate-field-and.html
Also take a look at sequence of methods when a record is created on a form.
docs.microsoft.com/.../event-method-sequences-when-a-record-is-created
community.dynamics.com/.../sequence-of-methods-in-the-form-level-in-ax
Validations can be defined on the tables that back up entities, at both the field level and the record level.
Table.validateWrite () and DataEntity.validateWrite ().
The validateWrite () method validates that each mandatory field is filled in. It does not validate that the record already exists (because for that it needs a database query to be executed).
The link above has been explained but for the DataEntity.validateWrite () please check the screenshot.
