Hi All,

I want to apply ISV package to my DEv box. From LCS I am trying to apply update but getting error that package which is going to apply has later platform version ( update 30) and my devbox is with version 27 ). Error says if i proceed with this then few models will get deleted.

Kindly advise.

Thanks ,

Shri

    Hi Shri,

Ideally, you should operate on the same version. Can't you simply update your devbox to PU30?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Ideally you should have same version on your Dev box in order to avoid breaking changes in production. Sometimes custom processes break because of framework changes.  However in your case you are getting warning in LCS, which is just information to you that if your  deployable package does not contain all your models , whatever is not present is going to be deleted. So just make sure you all all your custom code is part of  your deployable package.

Check below blog on LCS changes released in April.

    Thanks Sukrut!

I updated my dev VM to PU30 then I appleid the package still I was getting the same warning so I proceed and created single package through VSTS build which will have both -ISV changes and custom modules.

    Thanks,

    Shri
