I think Matt may have mentioned this, but you mentioned the PM30200. That is the history table. Was your cleanup batch the one that paid off the documents? I just tested the batch posted by information in the PM20000 and it worked as I expected. I had one user create the batch, a couple of different users entering transactions and the another user post the batch. In every case the posted by field showed the correct user for who posted the batch.

So I did some testing and can't say I've ever noticed this before but it looks like the PTDUSRID in PM30200 is the user who posted the payment that fully applied the document (essentially the one that moved it to history).
After these invoices were posted, what was the process for paying them off?

If it's alot of results, maybe just pinpoint a section where the PTDUSRID is different?
yes - the posted date is the same. I know for a fact that the batch was only posted once because I was there when it was done. No batch recovery was ever used for this. Nice ideas though but not in this case.
The POSTEDDT is definitely the same where there is a different PTDUSRID for that batch?
I know you mentioned that only one user posted the batch but just to make sure, the same Batch ID wasn't used multiple times and posted multiple times throughout that day? Is the TRXSORCE the same for each PTDUSRID?
One other thing that could potentially be a cause of this that I can think of would be that there were errors in the batch when it originally posted so those errored transactions got sent to Batch Recovery, it got moved back to available, transactions were fixed, and then a different user posted it.
To add to this - I have a batch that was posted on 1/6/2016 Multiple people were entering for this batch - it was a 'clean up AP' project. In the PM30200, the same batch id has multiple user id's for the PTDUSRID. We only know of one person who did actually post this batch after everyone finished entering their portion. Both the PTDUSRID and MDFUSRID are the same. Can anyone explain why the PTDUSRID isn't really the one user who posted the batch?
Not really - I already know this stuff - I was looking for one list with just batch header info and not details. Thanks for your input!

Transaction-level though, like in SOP, you can check the SOP30200 and look at the PTDUSRID field. You can just pull the BACHNUMB from there too.
