Hi,

We have problem exporting store database from RMS (1006) and SQL 2012 64 working at Windows server 2008 Enterprise 64 sp2.

when try to create new store database, it just copy the template database with all fields like purchseorder and [transaction] even configuration (storeid). the you just another copy of your template.

now after restoring the sample HQ and store databases from "dbfiles" and do create new store and export, found the same problem.

the problem shows at the attached image when click ok, it should start scripting the template store and show progress bar. but when click ok it just show the next step and ignore scripting without any progress shown

.

    Hi ,

RMS FP2 version is having a nasty bug when hosted in SQL2012.. No wonder MS always certifies a new SQL platform to use with RMS version and then let customer to suffer for months before releasing a patch.

Install CU5 and export the store database. They have fixed the bug in CU5 release.!

Moreover applying an update in RMS is a nightmare.. you have to apply it in all POS Systems...Imagine when you have around 200 POS systems!!

    Hi EkQadi,

Didn you find any solution for this ? We are facing exactly the same issue while exporting the database ? SQL 2012 is supported in RMS CU5 as per the tech notes but it doesn't work.  Template DB is not scripting instead it goes to next screen and start coping the template database data into new database.  any suggestions would be appreciated...

    Regards

    GA

you can also try mirroring DB/replication  to SQL 2012 if you REALLY need 2012.

I would wait, RMS will phase out within 12 months to new stuff like cloud HQ @ MSFT direct...so no more problems with HQ infrastructure..

Well, they claim to support it now, but we've seen weird things happening, so we are not installing it on any of our client's machines right now.

    Sticking with Sk8R2.

Since this appears to be a test machine or VM, should be easy enough to try with an earlier version

Pretty sure this is a SQL2k12 issue.  Try backing down to SQL2k8.

FWIW, we are holding off using SQL2k12 because of  weirdness issues.
