I have a rollup field set to recalculate every hour, however the recalculations are not working. I have to manually refresh the field to get the new value. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have child records that get created and then append to the parent record. I would think the rollup field should recalculate and add up the values for any newly appended child records, but this is not working.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

We restarted our async servers yesterday, but this still is not working. We also have other rollup fields created previously and these are working. I created two rollup fields, and these aren't updating every hour so I figured I did something wrong. But I'm comparing these with those that are working and I cannot find any difference. I did run a custom workflow on those 2 to update the rollup fields, but I'm not sure if that matters.
