Hi Experts,

In new AX 2012 R3 TRAX module, I am trying to use the Route plan and guide, but the route plan and guide are not shown in rate route workbench when i do rate shop. Could you please tell how route plan and guide works. I am basically trying to split the route into 2 segments. I want to ship goods from PC 98052 to 24701. So i created a route plan and split it into 2 segments. First from 98052 to 94105 and then second sequence from 94105 to 24701. When i created load and do rate shop in rate route workbench, the route plan and guide are blank!!

Please advise.

    Hi shweta,

First of all note there is a difference between TRAX and TMS in AX 2012 R3. WAX and TRAX were acquired by Microsoft. There are some differences in features.

I assume you are working with the new TMS. You need to create some transportation hubs.

Have a look at the Transportation Management System implementation guide.

You can also find some demo scripts and video's on customersource/partnersource.

    Hi Andre,

Thank you so much for your kind reply. I figured it out. But there a confusion here, i have created route plan and guide and in route planning workbench, when i click on Route, the miles, transit days, buy rate are zero. Please guide me if i missed any setup.

    Hi shweta,

In the setup section you can setup the Mileage engines and Transit time engines. This could be based on Postal codes like the standard demo data, but also other fields like State or City. You mentioned you are using Postal codes. See if there is a setup available for the Pickup and Drop Postal codes with also the miles or days filled. If these fields are zero, the setup is probably missing.

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought in case of hubs you need to specify the from/to per segment.

Also check if the Postal codes are known on the order and the hub master.

Also check if the Engines are setup with information in the Define... and Parameters buttons.

    Hi Andre,

You are right, in hubs i specified address for each hubs and it is working! Now i am able to derive the multi segment routes with consolidated rates. Thank you so much for help.

    Regards,

    Shweta
