Changesets in UAT after DB refresh from PROD - D365FO

Hi All,

We have refreshed UAT DB from PROD DB. UAT was having few changesets before refresh. Now we are not sure whether they will be in UAT or not after DB refresh from PROD.
Do we need to redeploy those existing changesets or they will be there in UAT.
Please provide your inputs.

Regards
Akbar

As you are importing database, only data will be changed. There won't be any effect on the customizations which have been done. Redeploying is not required.

Hi Akbar, DB refresh only restores data and not code changes. If code changes in UAT include addition of field/table, that will get blank after database restore. So, no need to redeploy those existing changesets, it will be there.

    Hi,

I think no need to redeploy again in UAT - Only the data will get affected. Code changes will be there.

    Thanks,
    Girish S.

    Hi Akbar,

I do assume you are referring to some customizations which were present in the UAT and not in Production. A database refresh is NOT changing the deployed packages, so the changeset should be still the same. Note that it might be better to have the same application version as on production when you do a database refresh. This to prevent any database synchronization issues.
