Hello, Im fairly new to dynamics and am working with its web api, I see that my org URL is on v8.0. I want to be sure though if I upgrade to version 8.1 none of the existing APIs will break. So my question is if I upgrade to 8.1 will my API call 8.0 call work as well?

Current: Org /api/data/v8.0/

Upgrade to : Org /api/data/v8.1/

Still Work After Upgrade? : Org /api/data/v8.0/

Also on a side note I see SOAP uses /XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc

if 2011 was ever upgrade would the old service work as well?

Hi,

Yes. Old endpoint with 8.0 will also work and 8.1 will also be available. Only difference is that, if you use 8.0, then you won't be able to use features that are available in 8.1 version. Your existing code will still work.

Also, if you ever migrate from 2011, the soap endpoint will work, but it is recommended that you should use odata service.
