I use order planning window to plan production orders.

Scenario:- I create production order for 10 PCS. After production 6 PCS was good & 4 were scarp. I recorded that production & scarp using output journal. Now i want to plan that 4PCS automatically in NAV. will it be happen.

    Hi Sampath,

You can define Scrap % in Item and BOM.

    Check the link: www.olofsimren.com/scrap-in-production

    Hope it helps.

As Nareshwar mentioned, you can add scrap % info to the item card:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh168174(v=nav.90).aspx

You can also post scrap manually in the output journal:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh173247(v=nav.90).aspx

You can also define fixed scrap or %% for production routing.

Thanks, for valuable idea. I use those features as well.

But the problem is following scenario.

Assume i have sales order for 10 PCS. I create release production order against that demand.

then i produce 10PCS but 7 was good & 3 were damaged. I recorded that result in output journal (7 good, 3 scarp)& post . Now i want to know how system suggest to plan that 3 pcs   in planning tool (order planning or planning worksheet). ?

Actually in NAV, when you post the Scrap, system would still have pending Order Quantity in "Remaining Quantity" field and hence system would not suggest you any further quantity via planning engine.

System is only recording Scrap Quantity in Capacity Ledger Entry and would not have any quantitative effect on production order.

What you can do here is, just create the Scrap Quantity as flow field in Production Order, so that user would be able to know the Production Order Quantity, Actual Output Quantity & Scrap Quantity. This way, user would understand the pending production order quantity and can manually book the output and related consumption in the system.

    OR,

User can Finish the existing production order and create the new production order manually as per the Scrap Quantity.

    Hope this helps.
