Hi Cuong,
Both AX and Remote Desktop is provided by Microsoft, so remote desktop is used mostly.
Hello Cuong,
The best practice in general is to use AX using RDS/Citrix. Microsoft recommends RDS. The main reason is if you do any updates like CU or Kernel, you would have to patch ever client installation in your organization. If you are publishing the AX Client from a remote server like RDS or Citrix, you only need to update the remote servers. If you have the client installed locally on every computer, you have to update every computer. This can be a big headache with traveling people as well.
If you are traveling and you use VPN to connect to your office. AX also function a lot more stable through RDS/Citrix in this situation. Because of the amount of data that needs to be transferred back and forth from the SQL Server, if your are using a local client while on VPN you will experience much slowness and possible client crashes.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for your advice.
