Crystal report OLE DB Provider selection at launch

I have a single user that gets a prompt to select the OLE DB Provider no matter what report they try to run. Is this a matter of recreating the ODBC connection? Please Advise.

go to the database expert and set data source location and update it once again and save .

Wouldn't that change the login for everyone? It's just this one user that has this issue.

what kind of authentication you are using for the OLEDB. Are you using the 'sa' user?

There is a user in SQL called crystalreports that everyone is using

Please verify the OLEDB(ADO) with the working one and check whether it is using the SQL native client or SQL server and also verify the database once more in the crystal report if it is locally placed.

After extensive digging around I still could not find any solution. I ended up reformatting the computer and installing Win10. Unfortunately I STILL get the same exact prompt.

The only difference I can find with other ODBC connections on other workstations is that some of them have SQL Native Client connections and Win10 apparently only has SQL Server Native Client options

For what it's worth I finally figured it out. It seems something about those reports were written in an older version of Crystal. I had to download and install the SQL Native Client 2005 version, then recreate the ODBC connection with that option.

I've asked you to check the native client in my previous post as well :).
