Word Template not displaying

I am trying to get a modified SOP Blank Invoice word template to display.   I created the word template using the Template Generator tool (export mod report to xml and then use generator to create the word document.   I have used the Template Maintenance window to assign the template to the SOP Blank Invoice - Modified.  Set it as default for the company.   Enable Report Templates is marked as is the modified template in the Template configuration window. 

If I then print to screen, I get the report writer version of the modified SOP Blank Invoice and not the template, even if the Template option is selected in the report destination window.   If I go back to the Original, then I get the Original word template version display.  

Not sure what I am doing wrong to get the RW version and not the Template.   Suggestions ?

    Have you gone through the routine of:

    1. Save your modified word document in a place where you can easily access it.

    2. Import the word document into your Template maintenance area. It could (or not) replace one of the templates on your list. I will always create a new one because it seems that every change I make may impact WAY MORE things than I wanted it to.

    3. Change security in your  Modified/Alternate window.

    4. Modify your security and you should be good to go. ]

    5. Be very careful of where the bookmarks are in your Word document. This is well document and I guarantee it is very important.

    Some other things you may want to note is that if you have perhaps removed the report header from you report instead of duplicating it, you might have a problem e-mailing your documents. Oh, they'll print fine, but they won't e-mail. Oh the joy. I love my job!

    Hi Warren

    Did you change the security in the alternate/modified forms and reports setting from the Standard to the modified report?

    Also when you get to the print dialogue box  you can use the drop down to change from standard to template.
