Hi,

We need to define a separate tax code by State, county , city, zip code. Tax rates can be different at the city level (by State, county , city).

 As well we need to generate a report every month where it shows tax code, State, county , city, zip code, taxable amount.

So far it seems that the only way is to define one tax group for every Tax code , which can turn to be around 45k records of each. Did anyone had another way to minimize the number of records?

    Hi Sam,

    If you have to maintain a lot of tax codes allover the US it might be smart looking at a third party integration that can handle the setup and maintenance of those codes for you.

    Not every city/county has its own tax. For those cities, you don't have to create records for all of them, insteadly you can just let them share the same tax group. So simply speaking, only need to make sure the data covers all of the possibilities, and use that primary key as a foreign key in your city table.
