How to create new record or update data by using import excel sheet ?

I have export data from the account entity in excel sheet. I have made some changes and add more record on that excel sheet. Now I want import it into our CRM so that entity data will be updated.

Is it possible to do it ?

Hi Jai,

It is possible to update record using import as well. Make sure that guid of that records should be in excel sheet.

Modifying the data in bulk & adding extra rows at the bottom of the list will be updating the existing records (whichever modified), also creating the new records (added extra rows) when the file is imported back.

In fact, the import job will parse & identify the records to be processed & give you the status.

Hello Jai Pundir,

If you have exported records from CRM and updating it, based on the hidden GUID, it will update existing records. And incase you have new record added it will create new record in CRM.

But in the Model driven app, we do not have the oppotunity to import the excel back, we have to import only the CSV format, so this approach does nto work in model driven app
