Hi MVP,

As part of solutioning with third party scanners in Nav2013 (Real time), we were expecting Locking issue in Base Nav in case 50-60 warehouse people uses at the same-time.
Can you please let us know is there any option on how to build a solution to minimize Locking?.. We have couple of options but want to get solid proof solution so that the customer will not run into any issues.

I have the same question (0)

The first thing you should do is to consider upgrading to the newest version of Business Central. Because your solution is no longer supported.

Table locking in Dynamics NAV is a well known issue and the handling of it depends on what table you are experiencing locking in.

On what table are you experiencing locking? Is it a standard table or a customized table?

    Hi Inge M.Bruvik,

Thanks for your reply. Our requirement is for both Standard and Custom table for a different ISV Provider.

Can batching of the requests work considering a time limit of 10 seconds??

Batching is generally a good idea. But it depends what you are trying to achieve and what tables you are working with.

I think you have to be much more specific around the issues you have for us to be able to help you.

If you are getting table locking during posting of document and transactions that is one thing. If you get them during entering of sales orders that is another issue.

    Hi, just adding some info.

As Inge mentioned, NAV2013 has been end of support this year.

There is a new handling in BC22 if you upgrade to the latest version.
