Printing notes in customer cards

Posted on by 3,225

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help me with what I would hope woudl be a simple step in the customer card.

I run a trial balance for all of our customers (roughly 6000)  I also keep track of things that go on in their account in the notes section of each of their card.  I wa wanting to be able to print all the notes in order by customer so I can see the customers and the trail of notes.  So when we do our AR review I can have the customers balance along with their notes.  Does anyone know if there is a way to do this?  Unfortunatly we do not have smartlist builder or export builder right now.

Thank you,

Katie

    Hi Katie.

This will take some setup in Report Writer.

First by clicking the Tables icon in the tool bar of Report Writer select the file RM_Customer_MSTR

Double click it to open the Table Definition window and click Relationships.

    Click New

In the Secondary Table select the table Record Notes Master

Select Key1 as the Key and define the link Note Index to Note Index

Click OK until all windows close

If the ATB is already a modified Report click trhe Reports button and open the report.

    Click the Tables button

Click on RM Customer MSTR and click New

Select the Record Notes File and click OK

The Table is now available to the Report

Click the Layout button choose the field TEXT FIELD from the table and place it on your report.

Remember to Expand the field big enough to ptint the amount of notes you require.

    Hope this helps
