Task Owner Overwritten

Posted on by

A user created and completed a task within an account timeline. I became the owner of the task but I did not create or complete the task. When I open the task record it still includes the name of the user who created and completed the task. Why would the task include my name rather than the name of the user who is included as the owner on the task record?

    RE: Task Owner Overwritten

    Hi DKAdrenaline,

When the user create the task, the owner field would automatically be set to current User. However, this value could be modified. The user could select you as the owner manually.

So you could hide the Owner field or set it read-only on the corresponding form:

If the user didn't manually modify it, please check that did you set any Business rule, Workflow, JS event to change the value of this field.
