Missing Databases in Find Databases (98.000.01)

I restored a backup of the production App/System database combination to new names to facilitate some testing.  The normal procedure was followed for doing this.  The problem is neither of the newly restored databases appear on the Find Database (98.000.01) drop down list for the specific SQL Server.

If I modify the Solomon.ini to only list the newly restored system database I am able to sign into the database successfully with SL. (As this avoids the need to use Find Database)

Any ideas what I'm missing with this one?

Check and update domain & company table in system database for this. You will then need to resynchronize everything and make sure to update views.

    Hello Kdamazo,

As RGRII said earlier, you need to do the update the servername field in domain table which is located on your system database.

Update Domain Set ServerName = 'XXXXXXXXXX'

To find out the server name use below Query

    Select @@SERVERNAME

Here XXXXXXXX is your Server Name where you did the restoration activity. Execute the Query in your system database.

Re-run the Database Maintenance (98.2900.00) and need to do the synchronize all Ownership & Security and click the update database button.

    Hope this will help you.

    Thanks,

As indicated I had already done the usual procedure for restoring an SL database.  Meaning the Company and Domain tables were updated and Update Views had been done in Database Maintenance.

What I had not done, as I was restoring a database to the SQL server on which it had been backed up, was to Sync security.  That did resolve the issue.
