Dear Team,

Hope all are doing well.

I have a business process case that Uses the Project Module in D365 BC. My client needs to calculate WIP before invoicing his customer. More Clarifications, He started the Job on 8/9/2023, and the End of the Job on 15/10/2023. Note, He hasn't Budget Total Cost & Actual Total Cost (It is = Zero) but he has a Billable Total Price of = 250 $ so, he needs to close the period of September 2023.

When I calculate the WIP, I get this message (There were no new WIP entries created.)

Is there a solution for that case, or best practice to solve it.

Hello,

You should enter budgeted or actual costs and ensure the selected WIP method supports revenue recognition based on billable price or completion percentage.

This will allow WIP to be calculated correctly for the desired period.
