Connectivity to On-Premise SQL Server

Hi,

I wanted to build connectivity with On-Premise SQL Server from the Dynamics 365 AX. I am planning for data extraction from the SQL Server (On-Premise) into Dynamics AX (Cloud) at regular intervals

Please suggest available options.

    it is not regular , and AX support you at this point

    you can do that via data import and export module or publish your data from excel add-ins

    Hi,

    Maybe I was not clear with my Question.

    The requirement is to connect SQL Server(On-Premise) with Dynamics AX(365). I am planning to export data from SQL Server and then import this data in Dynamics AX(365). Basically recurring import job.

    I want to know what we need to connect with On-Premise network. Do we need Data gateway or Site to Site VPN?

    I suggest that you export data from the SQL Server to a file on premises and import the file to AX though the Recurring Integrations Scheduler.

    Data Connector in Excel isn't a viable tool for scheduled imports.

    Thanks for your response. I am actually using this component.

    Let me add more information.

    We are using the Recurring Integrations Scheduler(RIS) to transfer data between Dynamics 365 AX and On-Premise. The requirements is to ensure the data transfer between Dynamics 365 and On-Premise is secure and fast.

    The options I was able to find were Express Route, Site-to-Site VPN.

    But I am looking for recommendations from experts like you to recommend the best components for data transfer (SQL Server Recurring Jobs) between Dynamics 365 AX VM and On-Premise SQL Server.
