Calculate line discount on net amount, not unit price

Hi all,

In Sales order or Purchase order, is there any way to set the line discount amount/percentage to be calculated based on the net amount of the line, not the unit price?

E.g. 4 pcs @ 100$/ea, discount amount 5$

current calculation: amount after discount is (100-5)*4 = 380

What I need is (100*4)-5 = 395

Hi Fspafj,

Did you check the Total Discount function? It will if you use a trade agreement.

In the standard design, there is no specific discount function available.

But I think you can use Discount as a "Charges":

Avoid any kind of customization, use the trade agreement and configure it as per your requirement.

Hello,

Thanks for your suggesstions.

For the line discount, either I update on the SO/PO manually or use Trade agreement, it will be calculated based on the unit price, not the line net amount.

Maybe I can only use Total discount to apply discount amount to the whole order in this case... I will look into the Charges as an alternative too.
