Marketing data configuration : custom entities

Hello,

In Dynamics Marketing in advanced settings under 'Marketing data configuration' it is possible to define which entities can be used for making segments. We have custom entities which at this moment are not listed here. Is there any way to use custom entities in segmentation ?

Thanks,

Peter

    Hi Peter,

You could follow steps below to enable custom entities for segmentation. (make sure that you have set 1:N or N:1 or N:N relationship between the custom entity and contact entity.)

    1. In customization, enable "Change Tracking" option for custom entity.

    2. In Settings > Marketing settings > Marketing data configuration, enable the custom entity then Publish Changes at top of the list, it takes up to half an hour to take effect.(And we can't roll change back.)
