Loyalty points earning and redemption in same transaction

Hi All,
My client is having 1 requirement i.e. he need to earn loyalty points in the same transaction in which he is redeeming the loyalty points .

For eg -:  transaction amount =Rs 1000

               Pay by loyalty card = Rs 100 

Then loyalty points should be earn on remaining  Rs 900 

Please tell me how we can achieve this ....

    That doesn't sound like a very good business process. That's like giving away free money to the customer. I would probably go back and tell your client to rethink their business process. Hence why that functionality doesn't exist in AX Retail.

    Hello,

    For the customer to earn loyality points he needs to be eliglible to do so, to configure rules you need to :

    1. Click Retail > Common > Loyalty > Loyalty schemes. On the Loyalty schemes list page, double-click a loyalty scheme in the list to open it, or, on the Action Pane, click Loyalty scheme to create a new loyalty scheme.

    2. In the Loyalty schemes form, on the General FastTab, enter a scheme ID and description. Then in the Loyalty program field, select a loyalty program to assign to the loyalty scheme. Loyalty programs include the discounts and loyalty tiers that apply to a loyalty scheme.

    3. On the Earning rules FastTab, click Add line, and then enter the earning activities that earn loyalty rewards for the customer. Earning rules can be specific to a loyalty program tier.

    But, the standard system doesn't support earning points for spending points. You only earn points for real money paid. You will need to extend the system to support a new payment options in loyality scheme by modifying loyality scheme classes. But this is not recommended as there is a danger the customer will get more points he spent in some very rare cases.

    Hi Maciej,

    Thank you for your prompt response.

    We are wondering if loyalty points can be earned for the split payment done other than loyalty points.

    For example,

    Sales $100

    Payment Loyalty $5

    Payment Cash $95

    Can we setup the system to earn points for the cash payment?

    Please advise.

    Unfortunately no, by standard if You are spending points You cannot earn points. You have to extend to have that functionality.

    Anyway it seems nobody is available on that group anymore. I solved this case by doing modification on the Loyalty.cs file in a way to exclude points from the loyalty payment.
