"Register Customer Payments" does not maintain the "payment made" flag if I exit without posting

Hello,

I'm a BC beginner.

I'm analyzing the way to register a customer payment. I'm using the "Register Customer Payments" but I noticed that if I exit from the page without posting the transaction, BC does not maintain the flag "Payment Made".

Is there a way to enter customer payments without posting them and come back later for postings, without losing the work done?

Best regards

Gianluca

Thank you, so the system behaves differently than how to enter a vendor payment, because for them, on "Create Vendor Payment" I can "Create a payment" and if I exit, let me say, the record is saved on the "Payment Journals" so I can come back for posting.

No, you have to post the payment to have the payment recognized by the system.

There is no temporary payment transaction type in BC like some other systems have.

The only other option would have to use the onHold field to mark the payments there.

But better to just post them while you are at it.
