Security roles missing from Default Solution

OK, I've alway thought that the default solution contained everything but that is not the case. I have a client implementation where we copied, renamed, and modified five security roles. The Security role view shows all five, but within the default solution there are only two.  I discovered this when exporting the default solution and got the missing components message. Which, when you think about it, should never happen on the default solution.

So, what am I missing here? And is this an indicator of a deeper issue?

    Hi,

    you have two places to manage the security roles:

    one is in the solution

    the other is under security/ security roles and than you see all of them (if you create a new one here, you will never see it in your solution/default solution)

    Hi, 

      I believe default solution will display roles which were created in the root business unit. If there are roles which you manually placed in other business units, they won't show up in the default solution. What's that "Access Teams" bu - is is the root business unit?

    Access Teams is not the root BU and that is the difference. Thanks Alex, I learned something new.
