Hi BC Guru's,

Is there a way in BC to make item cards read-only for specific users?

We are having an issue where too many people are going in to make changes in item cards.

TIA!

I have the same question (0)

Permissions is the most standard way of achieving this: docs.microsoft.com/.../ui-define-granular-permissions

    Hi

As Josh mentioned you can use the permission for this. Also, in the future it is possible to exclude table which should make it a little easier. See below

    docs.microsoft.com/.../permission-set-handling-enhancements

For advanced method such as certain user can change certain fields of item card you need solutions like below

    appsource.microsoft.com/.../PUBID.fenwicksoftware|AID.fg03|PAPPID.9c635c18-e65b-4aba-b78c-e35552de4c60

    appsource.microsoft.com/.../PUBID.efoqus-5058796|AID.security|PAPPID.7c4b9095-058f-4464-a4d0-104cc305e68c

Hi, just adding to others' reply. The preferred method is to use the default permission set. But if you can customize, hope the following helps as well.

The page mode that the page was opened in (Editable of the page):

    PS: an upcoming feature
