What depreciation method do you use for leasehold improvements (straight line original, straight line remaining life, or remaining life)?
How do you handle leasehold improvements when a lease expires and a new lease is implemented? Do we have to set up a new book class or account group?
We have multiple locations and want to have the assets and depreciation for each location be allocated to each location's GL accounts. Do we have to set up an account group for each location for each type of asset category (furniture & fixtures, computers, etc.). In other words, computers-location #1, computers-location #2, computers –location#3. Or will the module know to allocate the asset and depreciation to the correct location GL account based on the locations set up in the module. We are struggling with how to link the GL accounts to each location for each asset group, looks like you can only assign one GL account fopr depreciation, cost, accum depr. etc. per asset category.
