How to deactivate connections when the record is inactive?

Posted on by 2,645

I have a bunch of connections, and when I inactivate a record, the connections are still enabled.  How can I have those connections deactivated when the record is inactive status?

There should be that option. You should look attentively.

I believe JS cab be developed but it doesn't cover scenarios when account is deactivated from grid or through merging or external API call or from plugin/workflow - in other words anything but account form.

I don't have an option for Record URL (Dynamic).

Since I am having an issue doing it this way, is there java script that can be written to complete this?

It's in a plan to provide all instructions for all the steps but you can start here - crm2011distributewf.codeplex.com/.../265643

To pass your account reference use Record Reference input using Dynamic Record Url option available in workflow builder. Check explanation here - www.develop1.net/.../Polymorphic-Workflow-Activity-Input-Arguments.aspx

I have it installed now, but unsure of all the exact process....would you be able to help walk me through it?  Screen shots maybe?  I really want to test this with my Accumulator record.  So an Account can be associated to many Accumulator records but many Accumulator records can only be tied to 1 account.  How would I set this up in a workflow now?
