Can you suppress welcome cycle from regular BAU newsletter campaigns?

Hi,

Can anyone help?

I have created an automated welcome email cycle in a customer journey that sends out three emails. Contacts enter this customer journey via a form. 

Can I supress this customer journey from regular newsletter campaigns?

My newsletter campaigns are made up of segments and emails added to a customer journey.
