Carry custom field from lead to opportunity

Posted on by 10

Hello,

We have added a custom field on the lead form in the summary tab. The ask is to carry this custom field selection over to the opportunity when the lead is qualified and made an opportunity.

After doing multiple searches the solution I believe is to add this custom field to the originating lead relationship mapping as noted here carry custom field

However, when going to the default solution in the classic view and selecting the entity and the relationship: it shows blank i.e. there are not relationships to select from.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi ali.rizvi,

Yes, if you want carry one custom field selection over to the opportunity when the lead is qualified and made an opportunity, mapping fields can indeed achieve it.

And it's so strange to show blank in the relationships page.

Have you access it in the Power Apps,Same?

Or you can access it through privacy mode of the browser or change other browser.

    Closing this question.

The solution was simply clearing out the browser cache and all the entities showed up correctly afterwards.

Update: clearing the cache worked once but I am back to square one. Still needing help on this mind boggling issue.
