Possible to share tax registration types across companies?

Is it possible to share tax registration types across multiple companies within AX?  Or tax registration type/tax registration is company specific and can not be shared?  As tax registration is under address within the global address book (and global address book can be shared across company), I would think the tax registration related data can be shared across companies as well.
