Batch Transfer rules for Subledger journal account entries and changing Transfer mode to Synchronous

Hi all,

We have an environment where the setup already has a Batch transfer rule of type 'Company', Applying on 'All' (Source document type = All) and with Transfer mode = Scheduled batch.

We now want to change this for Transfer mode = "Synchronous", which will basically transfer source document sub-ledger journal entries to the general ledger immediately.

May I know if there are implications of doing so with some existing entries? I presume No but just wanted to be careful.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Cheers,
Asim

    Hello Asim,

As per my understanding, it should not be any problem, this process will proceed with  the entries those are ready  to move.

    Thanks,

    Hi Asim,

There is no impact like also expected by Kumkum. You need to be sure all already pending entries will be posted. So only disable the batch job when all pending entries are really transferred as the synchronous setting will not look at those pending transactions.

Thank you for confirming guys. :) I expected this and of course I will make sure to adjust Batch job appropriately.

    Best regards,

    Asim

    Hi,

Before moving from scheduled batch to synchronous,

You need to post the vouchers by the function general ledger/Periodic/batch transfer for subledger journals
